The exhibition features the work of 25 illustrators from around the world
and reflects the recent shift towards handcrafted styles. Increasingly
returning to traditional tolls and techniques, today's image-makers are
working in pen, pencil and paint, while others use tapestry and embroidery
either by themselves or combined with digital elements to create new
hybrids.
Exhibition ties in with publication of the book Hand To Eye (by Angus Hyland
& Roanne Bell) but focuses on work not featured in the book, the artists’
most recent work and work finished after the book’s deadline.
